'Droplines' is a performance for three jugglers and an ode to our failure. Starting from juggling, physical theatre, and tragicomic scenes, we explore how people deal with failure, performance pressure, and the gaze of others. The inevitable ‘drop’ becomes a theatrical engine: a moment where tension, vulnerability, and humor converge.
This residency constitutes the final phase before the try-outs. We are working on integrating the costumes as a dramaturgical element and putting the finishing touches on the dramaturgical structure. By the end of this period, two versions will be completed: a full performance of approximately 40 minutes and a short, easily touring version of 15–20 minutes, which we will perform in Rotterdam neighborhoods over the coming months in the run-up to the Circusstad Festival.
