Piet and Liselotte share the stage every day, like an old double act. You’d think they’ve been through everything together. And yet, today the stage has a whole new batch of surprises in store for them…
It’s a story of disaster, a waltz where one steps on the other’s toes, a novel written by a dyslexic. Nothing goes as planned, everything spirals out of control… but it’s precisely in this joyful chaos that something happens. Piet and Liselotte, despite the mix-ups and unexpected detours, find their own way to keep this odd little act on its feet. And in the end, this slightly wobbly hodgepodge gives us something to hold on to. A moment apart. Unexpected.
The project is about overcoming life’s challenges, whether global or personal, by staying positive. To this end, Piet and Liselotte use ‘mât-tricks’: a mast capable of tilting diagonally halfway through the performance. Using this unique mast, they unfold an adventure filled with catastrophes that constantly challenge the two characters, thereby drawing the audience into their quirky, imaginary world.
