Be Flat is working on a large-scale outdoor performance: 'SKWAIR' (premiere in 2028). A 360° urban circus experience that transforms public space into a shared play and meeting place for the public and artists. The first part of this creation is 'CUISTAX', which we are currently actively building.
'CUISTAX' is a mobile go-kart with horns, bells, and a four-meter-high pole as an eye-catcher. This mobile spectacle takes to the streets in search of anyone who hasn't yet caught the circus bug. With acrobatics and live music, 'CUISTAX' warms up the audience for Be Flats' newest creation: 'SKWAIR'.
With 'CUISTAX', we give a contemporary twist to the circus tradition where artists announce their arrival in the city using vehicles and loudspeakers.
During this first 'SKWAIR' residency at Dommelhof, we are working in the studio: we are converting a go-kart into our 'CUISTAX' and expanding our grandstands.
