Together with architects/artists/researchers Annelies De Smet and Felix Fasolt, Hanne Vandersteen (Grensgeval) investigates possible circus objects. They start at the early concept phase and work their way up to the final development. The objects are tried out several times during residencies with, among others, Circus Katoen.
Object and acrobat inspire each other: what are the possibilities and limitations? How does the acrobatic course change and what could change about the object? In this interaction they hope to create new objects that would not exist without the acrobatic course and new acrobatic possibilities that would not exist without the new objects.
The research project of Grensgeval takes place between the different disciplines and is a free haven for research, inspiration, reflection and space for deepening.
